Web Summit here we come!

We have been selected to be part of the ALPHA Program for the 2017 Web Summit, that will take place in Lisbon of Portugal at 6- 9 of November and we are really excited about it! Why is that? Because it will be the first truly big event we will attend as theCORE and it’s the perfect chance for us to represent our team and services at the largest tech conference in the world!

The Web Summit started as a simple idea in 2010: Let’s connect the technology community with all industries, both old and new. It seems to resonate since no other technology conference has ever grown so large and so fast- from 400 attendees, now it hosts more than 60,000 attendees. The topic of the conference is centered on internet technology and attendees range from Fortune 500 companies to smaller tech companies. This contains a mix of CEOs and founders of tech start-ups together with a range of people from across the global technology industry.

How can you participate?

If you have your own new start-up and want to see if your idea can flourish, you can apply to exhibit at Web Summit as a part of ALPHA 2017 program. This is exactly what we did and the application form took us 5 seconds to fill in. After a couple of weeks they contacted us to set up a brief Skype call to talk about Web Summit, our business and the benefits of attending an event like this. Τhe good news did not take long to arrive! A few days later we’ were informed we got into ALPHA and that we will have the opportunity to exhibit together with the world’s leading companies. But Web Summit is not addressed only to start-ups. The event is valuable also for large businesses, small organizations, investors, CEO’s and curious folks.

What makes this conference so important? Why attend?

With more than 60,000 attendees flooding into Lisbon this year, the entire city will become a technology hub and we want to be part of it. Web Summit is a huge opportunity, and no doubt it can be an unforgettable experience for all participants because it isn’t like most conferences. The timetable doesn’t run from nine to five – it’s far from it. After talks finish, the networking continues at a series of exclusive, specially curated night events, where networking comes together over a beer, drinks and more.

What we want to achieve!

Web Summit as a one of a kind technology event in Europe, definitely worths checking it out. For us it is the right place to be, as we want to meet relevant people with the same interests in technology and business. We will hopefully have opportunities to talk to a wide variety of people: investors, partners, customers, potential hires — all interested in different aspects of our business. In addition, we will have the chance to raise awareness of our services, see potential users reactions, get priceless feedback that will help us develop more our product, in order to give our customers a much greater experience than they would ever expect. The Web Summit can be a sort of springboard for an early stage company to get exposure to the right people that can help their company grow. It is a place where the right connections can be found and great futures can be made.
